In 1995 Saskia Havekes opened her florist shop "Grandiflora" in Potts Point, Sydney (Australia).
Today she is not only the owner of a (literally) flourishing business, but also an internationally renowned author and founder of her own perfume brand.
Grandiflora represents exceptional aesthetics in the design of flower arrangements. This has had until today a considerable influence on the design of living spaces, fashion, magazine editorials and the design of flower gifts.
During the last years Saskia has published 4 books that show her unique works of art. She always aims to bring out the natural beauty of each plant in the best possible way and also to represent the influence of the seasons on the flora.
Surrounded by fragrant blossoms the step to launching her own fragrance collection was evident. Saskia has hired renowned perfumers to capture the beauty of those pleasantly smelling flowers in small black bottles.
Her collection consists of soliflores, fragrances that focus on a specific flower.
She interestingly had two different perfumers interpret the scent of Magnolia Grandiflora.
